Join us for a truly spectacular autumn weekend day out combining the very best of Yorkshire’s local food heritage with the jaw-dropping sights and sounds of a massive steam railway festival!

We start our morning heading to the historic town of Malton—the official food capital of Yorkshire! Saturday is their flagship Market Day, with the cobbled town square bursting with fantastic local stalls, fresh artisan bakes, crafts, and clothing. You will have plenty of time to explore the stalls, browse the independent boutique shops, and grab a delicious lunch.

In the afternoon, we take a breathtaking, scenic drive up across the high moors to the famous village of Goathland (the home of ITV’s Heartbeat). We arrive right in the peak of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway's massive Autumn Steam Gala weekend! The heritage station will be alive with magnificent guest steam locomotives rolling through. See the historic engines in action, explore the platforms, visit the Aidensfield Arms, or enjoy a relaxed afternoon cream tea.

Leaving Goathland at approximately 4:30pm, arriving back in Hull for approximately 6:30pm.
