  • Monday 3rd May 2027
  • North Yorkshire Duration: 1 Day

We start our morning in the historic, cobbled market town of Thirsk. Because it's a Bank Holiday Monday, the famous open-air market expands to fill the town square with fantastic local crafts, artisan foods, gifts, and clothing. You will have plenty of time to explore the stalls, shop the local high street, or visit the famous World of James Herriot attraction.

Leaving for Ripon approximately 1:35pm taking a short scenic drive to the ancient city of Ripon. Step inside the magnificent, 1,300-year-old Ripon Cathedral—completely FREE to enter and explore. Afterward, enjoy a peaceful afternoon tea at one of the lovely independent cafés around the historic market square, take a stroll along the canal basin, or browse the boutique shops.

Leaving approximately 4:30pm, arriving in Hull for approximately 6:30pm.
