- Monday 27th September 2027
- North Yorkshire Duration: 1 Day
Join us for a classic Monday day out as we head into North Yorkshire to experience one of the region's finest traditional open-air markets, paired with an afternoon in a spectacular historic castle town!
We head to the historic, cobbled market town of Thirsk for its primary market day! The town square will be bustling and packed with local stalls selling artisan foods, gifts, clothing, and crafts. You will have 2 1/2 hours to hunt for bargains, explore the local high street shops, and grab a traditional pub lunch or visit the world-famous World of James Herriot attraction.
In the afternoon we head to the market town of Helmsley. Enjoy a beautifully relaxed afternoon wandering past the spectacular medieval castle ruins, exploring the tranquil walled gardens, or browsing the boutique independent shops. Top it all off with a world-class afternoon cream tea at one of the lovely cafés around the square before we head back east.
Leaving at approximately 4:30pm, arriving back in Hull for approximately 6pm.
